Survey Says: Back Pain Survey

Most of us have or will suffer from an aching back? We all probably know several friends who have suffered with back pain. In fact this is the most common complaint that doctors hear. It is also the most difficult to treat.
CBS Health Watch reported on a survey conducted by Consumer Reports. According to this study most people find relief from their discomfort with "hands-on" treatments. The three top treatments were as chiropractic, physical therapy and acupuncture.

According to Dr. Jennifer Ashton who reported on this for CBS many people want fast relief from their pain and turn to pain relieving drugs. However drugs are not the answer they are only a bandage covering up the real solution/treatment which is prevention.

Also Dr. Ashton stated that surgery is not always successful and that in the past was performed more than necessary. Proper exercise that strengthens the core muscles are the key to preventing back problems. Proper exercise along with good posture and a good mattress were cited as three positive things a person could do that were non-invasive with no side effects.

This survey although not scientific non the less show that the most effective treatment is alo the most simple and long lasted. Another side benefit of these hands on treatment is cost. With health care cost spiral ling out of control prevention and non-invasive treatments are critical to keeping cost down. It also allows people to take control of their health care.

One such treatment program is "The Lose The Back Pain System" developed by the Healthy Back Institute. This system has helped thousands.
